This is an abstraction of the two Deed Books I-J for Hardin County which is one of those counties that straddles the line between Middle and West Tennessee as it is divided by the Tennessee River. It was formed on November 13, 1819 from the Western District and extended to the Mississippi River when formed. It was name in honor of Colonel Joseph Hardin. This volume is an abstraction of each of the entries in the two deed books and contains the Image page number of the microfilm image. In addition, it also contains the original page number of the book, dates the deed was written and registered, grantee/grantor, amount paid, acreage, a brief description of the land and notes.
