Polk County in eastern Texas was named for James Knox Polk, president of the United States from Tennessee. This collection of data contains biographical sketches of many of the leaders of the various units, rosters of the various units and the Address of Judge J. M. Crosson at the Confederate Monument Unveiling on 10 October 1901.
