This book is a self guided historic tour of Christiansburg, Virginia.  It contains descriptions of structures with the address of each to aid in your "guided tour".

One of the earliest settlers of Christiansburg was a man by the name of Dr. Joseph Miller.  His brother, Lewis, a carpenter by trade, made several visits to the town before finally retiring there sometime after the Civil War.  During these visits, Lewis Miller did sketches of the people and places that caught his interest.  He was particularly interested in the day-to-day routines of individuals, and was often inspired by the grandeur of nature to write verse or sketch.  It is because of Lewis Miller's prolific art, well over 2000 drawings, that we have a sharp impression of life in the mid-nineteenth century.  His Virginia drawings are primarily held by the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Institute in Williamsburg, Virginia.
