Cherokee Indian Land Sales and Surveys in North Carolina, 1820 and 1827

After the ceding of lands by the Cherokee Nation in 1819, the federal government appointed commissioners to survey and sale of these lands. This volume covers these lands that were surveyed in 1820 and 1827 along the Tuckasegee River and Little Tennessee River. At the time, these lands were located within the counties of Haywood and Macon Counties.
