North Carolina Land Grants Recorded in Greene County, Tennessee

This book contains approximately 2,000 land grantsrecorded in Greene County, TN.  Some of these grants were made by the US Government to pay off debts to officers and soldiers who served in the Revolutionary War.  Some of the grants were lands owned by Lord Granville, while other grants were issued by the state of North Carolina and Tennessee to encourage settlement in the new state of Tennessee.
