Virginia Colonial Abstracts, Series 2, Volume 3

The Huntington List was made for the Earl of Huntington, a member of the Virginia Company.  It is a list of persons who made new and additional subscriptions under the 3rd Charter.

Her we are top-heavy with great names.  That has to be.  The period was one of display.  The magnificent Queen Elizabeth, her Sea Adventurers.  Able Merchants and Lords and Ladies of the Court stand at the threshold of our history.  If genealogy is a search for ancestors grander than we are, they will be found here.  The log cabins and stockades of Jamestown were not such a let down, being sufficient evidence of the courage and hard work of our young gentlemen of good blood.

These lists are for genealogists.  Students of family backgrounds who show the human relationships of the people.  If there were no people there could be no history.  The history of the Virginia Company has already been overwritten.
