Robert Rose, ancestry unknown, arrived in the American colonies at an early date. He may have stayed a short while in Watertown, Massachusetts, but he soon migrated with the first settlers of Connecticut to Wethersfield. Today, his descendants comprise the largest of all Rose families in the United States.
