Johnson County, Arkansas History and Biographical Sketches
Originally published by Goodspeed Publishing in the late 1880's, this reprint contains memoirs and biographies of Johnson County pioneers. Johnson County in the northwestern portion of the state, was names in 1833 when created for Ben Johnson one of the Territorial Judges of the area. This biographical and historical collection gives a brief history of the area and then biographical sketches of families and individuals who submitted them at the time. Since the families submitted the information itself, we can consider this to be fairly accurate.
