Author: Joe Flickinger

Joe Flickinger is a lifelong resident of the Cincinnati area.  Joe holds a B.A. in History and an M.Ed in Educational Administration from Xavier University, and has also completed an M.A. in History with a concentration in Public History from Southern New Hampshire University.  Joe has worked as a history teacher in Cincinnati for over 20 years.  He serves as Vice-President of the Green Township Historical Association and is a member of the Coleraine Historical Society.  Joe maintains professional memberships in the American Historical Association, National Council of History Education, Organization of American Historians, National Council on Public History, and the American Association for State and Local History.  Joe’s other books include A Bicentennial History of Green Township; Uncovering a Jewel in the Crown of the Queen City,1809-2009, released in 2011, and 2018’s A History of Colerain Township:  From Frontier Wilderness to Suburban Sprawl.  He is married and has three beautiful children.
